WP1
The PSC was established (Kick-off Meeting, 9-10 March 2023, UZ). SCMs were held three times: 22 May 2023, Ghent (BE); 18 September 2023, Turin (IT); 22 April 2024, Urgench (UZ). 10 online meetings were held. The minutes of the Steering Committee meetings and decisions taken were recorded and distributed to all partners.
WP2.
Workshop on Curriculum development conducted (11 March 2023, Samarkand, UZ).
The comparative analysis of the study programs on Photonics and Optical communications (POC) in the countries reveals some differences.
WP3.
Two trainings were conducted in EU: on photonics in UGent and VUB (BE) and on optical communications in Polito (IT).
WP4.
A study of education systems in BE, IT and UZ was conducted. Teaching and learning methods EU universities focus on such skills and competencies that demonstrate students` responsibility for their own learning, independence and cooperation, understanding, ability to solve problems.
WP5.
The list of all necessary equipment and software, including literature, was determined according to the needs of the Uzbek partners through joint discussion, including with the participation of European partners.
WP6.
The curricula of the master`s programs POC (TUIT and UBTUIT) and “Photonics” (NUU and SSU) are approved by the Academic Councils of 4 UZ universities and are accredited and included in the national classification system of the MHESI of UZ. 70530510 – Photonics; 70610606 - Photonics and optical communications.
WP7
UZ universities studied the needs of the industry through surveys among employees of industry partners with the aim of retraining engineers in the field of POC. As a result of the analysis of the surveys conducted, the 5 subjects were choose for the week training of engineers.
WP8
A QCG was established to monitor the project. A quality control plan was developed. The QCG conducted regular surveys on the achieved results. The QCG assessed the teaching materials of the Master`s courses.
WP9
A bilingual project website was developed and published www.inmacom.uz. All materials on the site are in English and Uzbek. Login: access to the internal part of the website where partners can find internal documents.
