From August 19 to 23, 2024, a Summer School dedicated to photonics and optical communication technologies was organized within the framework of the international INMACOM project. The event brought together representatives of leading universities and industry from the European Union and Uzbekistan.
During the Summer School, participants discussed important topics such as the stages of development of optical communication systems, modern trends in photonics, the fundamentals of quantum communications, and the application of photonic technologies in various industries. Particular attention was also given to higher education in photonics and optical communications, the training of qualified specialists, and the development of cooperation between research institutions and industry.
Professors and researchers from European universities such as VUB, UGent, and Politecnico di Torino, as well as experts from TUIT, NUU, SSU and other higher education institutions, delivered lectures during the event. At the end of the Summer School, certificates were awarded to the participants.
The Summer School contributed to strengthening international academic cooperation and enhancing the knowledge and experience of young researchers in the field of photonics and optical communications.
